| Milford, CT – July 12, 2006 - This Fall New Standard Institute will feature consultant Peter G. Hessler presenting a seminar on Plant Construction Management. The addition of this seminar is part of a vigorous expansion of New Standard's seminar program.
Plant Construction Management will be held over two consecutive days in Los Angeles this November, immediately following seminars on Maintenance Planning and Schduling and Microsoft® Project for Maintenance. A session titled CMMS Made Easy will be held concurrently. This seminar - developed by a seasoned plant construction manager with over 30 years of experience - is a survival guide that provides economic guidance and support to those involved in the management of plant construction activities.
The seminar covers the economics behind industry and how to manage the finances of work activities, specifically during construction or retrofitting of a plant, given today’s bottom-line emphasis on environment, fuel efficiency, up-to-date technical features, and the industry’s loss of experienced craftsmen and supervisory personnel. The session is designed to accompany Hessler's book Power Plant Construction Management: A Survival Guide, published last year by Pennwell.
Hessler, who resides in Connecticut, successfully managed an international multi-million dollar power plant construction, maintenance and repair business for a large multi-national firm for 20 years. Hessler’s experience also includes eight years of “in-the-field” supervision and business development of oil field and power plant maintenance and repair projects, worldwide. Hessler graduated with his BSME from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and supervised the construction, maintenance and repair of utility and industrial boilers throughout the Caribbean and the Mid East for Combustion Engineering for six years.
Registration for the seminar is available through the New Standard Institute website. Click here for seminar outline. |
