| Milford, CT – December 16, 2001 - New Standard Institute, Inc. has published the first of a series of Maintenance Management-themed electronic materials. The debut computer based training resource “Maintenance Planning and Scheduling” is extracted from New Standard’s three-day seminar on the subject.
The text has been enhanced with Pop-up Definitions, Word Search functionality, Enlargeable Graphics, Animation and interactive exercises. The material is designed to provide the basics of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling training without requiring seminar attendance. This computer based training can be purchased and downloaded within minutes from the New Standard Institute website (www.newstandardinstitute.com). And — there is no shipping!
Previously, New Standard had rarely made their training texts available as separately purchased books. As computer technology has improved, it became possible to combine the graphic aspects of the seminar session, activities and tests normally associated with the seminar presentation, and create other unique add-ons to the text. This makes the material more functional as a training tool than a plain text book.
While not considered a replacement for the seminar experience and consultation aspect of that forum, this CBT tool will satisfy the immediate needs of those who cannot travel due to time and personnel constraints. The downloadable resource tool “Maintenance Planning and Scheduling” takes about fifteen minutes to download (depending on individual purchaser’s internet connection).
In development are further electronic training tools from the New Standard Institute catalog, and Spanish- and French-language versions are planned.
