| Milford, CT – January 31, 2003 - New Standard Institute’s latest computer based training (CBT) release is Electrical Safe Work Practices. All persons who install, maintain, repair, or just work near electrical power equipment should be trained in the hazards electricity may present. This computer-based training illustrates the requirements of OSHA 29CFR1910 Subpart S (United States labor law) and spells out other electrical safe work practices.
This valuable training and reference tool is narrated and enhanced with animation, interactive examples and quizzes, pop-up definitions, enlargeable graphics, and an internal search function.
As with New Standard’s other CBT materials, Electrical Safe Work Practices is available in two formats: downloadable file or as a CD.
Other titles in New Standard Institute’s catalog are AC Motor Controls, Lubrication, and Maintenance Planning and Scheduling (adapted from New Standard Institute’s long-running seminar). In the coming months, the company will release CBT products on Precision Measurement Methods, Alignment, Digital Multimeters, Fans, and other subjects pertinent to skills improvement within industrial facilities. A demonstration of these products is available at the company website.
