| Milford, CT – July 21, 2003 - BE&K Industrial Services has been granted a license to provide employees access to New Standard’s computer based training on Maintenance Planning and Scheduling. The agreement permits contractors with BE&K to install the program on any computer they are using, independent of the internet. This allows New Standard and BE&K to provide training for contractors on a global basis, whether they are working from a trailer at a worksite, or traveling with a laptop from location to location.
BE&K, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, provides engineering, construction and maintenance for process oriented industries and commercial real estate projects. The company has been in the maintenance business for over 25 years. BE&K has 3,000 maintenance employees providing a full range of maintenance services world-wide.
New Standard Institute’s computer based training (CBT) modules are interactive, animated, narrated eLearning programs, derived from their Maintenance Planning and Scheduling seminar.
With sliding scale discounts for multiple users, CBT software is a cost-effective alternative to onsite skills improvement programs. Other subjects available in this format from New Standard are: AC Motor Controls; Lubrication; Electrical Safe Work Practices; and Shutdowns, Turnarounds, and Outages. Nine more CBT titles, as well as a web-based training system, are currently in development. |
