| Milford, CT – September 15, 2003 - Responding to a need expressed by clients, New Standard Institute has developed a Trainers Package for in-house instructors and self-study programs. The first of these adaptations is on the subject of Electrical Safe Work Practices. Trainers and Safety Managers can enhance the training process using visual aids with this downloadable training presentation, and increase student comprehension.
The Presentation Version can be used as an enhancement to instructor-led training, or as a tool for quick review of the subject after a student goes through the computer based training (CBT). Provided as a package with the installable full-text CBT on the subject, it can be projected onto a screen to a group of students, or simply used as a “brush-up” after complete study on the subject.
The program is not a Power Point slide show, but an interactive, animated version of the computer based training module, with the exception of narration. This package provides both the presentation and the CBT source material. The CBT module is narrated, with animations, pop-up definitions, enlargeable graphics, an internal search function, and many other features.
Anyone who installs, maintains, repairs, or just works near electrical power equipment should be trained in the hazards that electricity may present. United States labor law spells out safe work practices and employee training requirements. This training package provides the information required by OSHA 29CFR1910 Subpart S, as well as other important safety information not required by OSHA.
Upcoming releases include Presentation Versions of the computer based training on such subjects as:
- AC Motor Controls
- Lubrication
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
- Measurement Methods
- Gaskets and Bolted Flange Connections
- Belt, Gear, and Chain Drives
- Fuses, Circuit Breakers, and Overloads
