| Milford, CT – July 9, 2007 - New Standard Institute of Milford, Connecticut, was recently announced as a Silver Connecticut Quality Improvement Award (CQIA) Innovation Prize recipient for "results directed delivery of e-Learning in a variety of formats including CD, downloadable, and web based training."
According to the organization, CQIA is "America’s oldest state-level award using the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria for Performance Excellence." This is the 20th anniversary of The Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership.
To earn this prize, New Standard was required to describe a problem solved by the company's computer based training software programs; provide a detailed description of the products; and show how this innovation has benefited the organization. The CQIA Innovation Prizes were ranked by fifteen Baldrige trained CQIA examiners.
Entrants are organizations with a facility located in Connecticut, and include manufacturers, service companies, educational facilities, hospitals and health care institutions, and not-for-profit organizations. Previous winners have included the Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. (CERC); Connecticut Light & Power; Pfizer; Sacred Heart and Eastern Connecticut State Universities, as well as the University of Connecticut and the University of Hartford; Greenwich Hospital; United States Surgical; and the Kennedy Center. |
