Consultant Biography - Andrew C Levitt
Andrew C. Levitt, PMP
Andrew Levitt is a consultant affiliated with New Standard Institute, currently based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He specializes in Project Management seminars and hands-on software training, as well as consulting on Maintenance Management issues during Shutdowns, Turnarounds, and Outages.
In 2008 Levitt worked closely with a Power Generating Station in the American Southwest prior to and during several $50 Million Outages. While training personnel on Microsoft Project and other software programs, Levitt served as interim Project Manager, handling the scheduling for the Outages, while providing coordination between maintenance work and capital improvements.
Prior to that project, Levitt managed New Standard’s maintenance storeroom reorganization at Raytheon in Arizona, which included collecting, analyzing, organizing and cataloging nearly 11,000 parts. With a team of six subcontracted staff members; Levitt coordinated the project with client management, SAP team, and vendors. Levitt produced Storeroom Standard Operating Procedures for this site.
Levitt’s work history also includes Director of Operations at a high-tech manufacturing facility in Montreal, Canada, where he managed and trained production and maintenance teams and developed operations manuals.
Levitt graduated from the University of Toronto in 2003 with an Honour’s Bachelor of Science, with a specialization in Physics and a minor in Chemistry. He achieved Project Management Professional certification in Spring 2009. He has lived in Spain and Canada, as well as in the US, and speaks Spanish and Portuguese, in addition to his native English.
